Oman Across The Ages Museum – Nizwa, Oman

Helix Productions contributed both filmic and 3D animation assets for 8 AV exhibits at the National Museum of Oman. The goal was to provide world-class AV software that was engaging, informative, and entertaining.

• 360 Economy Theatre: A 360-degree dome theatre showcasing filmic assets shot on location in Oman.
• The Diversity Ribbon: A 2.5D animated sequence highlighting some of Oman’s endangered animals.
• Conservation Column: An LED display focused on Oman’s conservation efforts.
• Renaissance Dawn: Five 9-meter LED columns detailing the history of the Omani Renaissance and the ascendency of HM Sultan Qaboos.
• Renaissance Reflections: Seven 9-meter LED columns utilizing stock assets to showcase Omani Renaissance history.
• The Core Display: A 360-degree animated history of the Omani empire.
• 2 C.A.V.E Displays: Immersive Cave Automatic Virtual Environment exhibits depicting Neolithic man at original paleo sites in Oman.

The project was a resounding success, enhancing the museum’s visitor experience with engaging, immersive AV content that supports the narrative of Oman’s rich history. The 360 Economy Theatre and the C.A.V.E displays were particularly well received, offering groundbreaking, immersive experiences that allow visitors to step back in time.

The museum has become a world-class destination, praised for its combination of high-end AV technology and the rich storytelling of Omani heritage. The project’s success has also highlighted the importance of meticulous planning, strong collaboration with clients, and adaptive project management.
