Helix was responsible for the complete creation, installation, and curation of visuals for the Sounds From the Other City festival at Maxwell Hall. This event transformed the student hall into an immersive venue, designed to deliver impactful “Wow Moments” as attendees entered. The visual theme centered on the unique culture of Salford, celebrating its distinct character and charm, often overshadowed by Manchester.

• Inspiration & Visual Concept: Drawing inspiration from a day spent with local pub historian Aaron Rawlings, we explored the streets and hidden corners of Salford, crafting visuals that celebrated its raw and vibrant spirit, affectionately known as the “Dirty Old Town.”
• Design & Installation: The visuals embraced the colors of spring, transforming Salford’s gritty streets into vibrant, blossoming environments that captivated attendees, creating a fully immersive experience.
