The Economy Theatre – OAAM – Nizwa, Oman

The 360° Economy Theatre at the Oman Across the Ages Museum is an immersive AV experience designed to highlight Oman’s economic landscape. The project’s primary objectives were to showcase Oman’s abundant resources, instill national pride in its sustainable initiatives, and illustrate progress across key sectors like oil, gas, agriculture, fishing, and tourism.

Pre-Production:

• Developed a narrative featuring 25 sites across Oman.
• Extensive camera tests using drones and bespoke rigs.

Production:

• Collaborated with local partners for seamless execution.
• Overcame challenges like sandstorms and desert heat to capture stunning visuals.

Post-Production:

• Stitched footage from eight cameras into a 360° panoramic image.
• Synced visuals with a moving floor for an enhanced experience.
• Integrated a custom soundtrack to mirror the narrative’s flow.

The installation featured a multi-axis moving floor, synchronized with the visuals to create a fully immersive experience. The project successfully achieved its objectives, offering visitors a unique and compelling narrative of Oman’s economic story.
